Social media fans were shocked Wednesday night to read a story that Tina Turner had been rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The story, however, is fake.
Tina Turner Rushed to Hospital?
The fake news item was published by the low-brow click-bait website Buzzfed.net, which appears to play off of the name “Buzzfeed” used by the popular website. The fake article claims that the singer was in “very critical condition” after being found unconscious. The bogus account reads:
Guy Oseary Tina’s manager told us that he is more than positive drugs are not the cause of her being found unconscious.
Oseary also told us that Tina had told him that she did not feel good at her last performance in Las Vegas at the MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA on the 24th and that she almost had to cancel the event.
Tina upcoming event in Los Angles (OCT. 27th at The Forum Arena) has been canceled.
The fake Turner article appears to be playing off of the recent death of Prince, which was first reported in a similar manner.
Buzzfed.net is not a legitimate news source and the story is completely without merit.
